Monte and Crystal Howton

I’ve known Monte and Crystal Howton for several years now, and have always considered them friends. Before real estate I was in the ministry for 20 years, with the last stent of my calling being at Crossroads Church. As a pastor and communicator over the years, I had the incredible opportunity to preach the Word of God, and a fun fact about that opportunity is for many of those years Monte was serving backstage. Communicating the Word of God is one of the most vulnerable things I have ever done, and Monte was the last guy you saw before you hit that stage and the first one you saw coming off the stage, and he was always encouraging and supportive, and it charged me!

When Crystal and Monte got married I saw two incredible people become stronger together than they ever were apart. Seeing them serve in places like orphanages in Haiti, with organizations like Chase the Victory, and on top of that rocking a blended family like rockstars is astounding. They just have a way of making people feel at home.

This is why it was so important for me to fight to serve them well to find their next home. (Side note, they led our initial conversation with nightmares from the past in real estate, so no pressure!)  So we began to look for their forever home, It was a search high and low and we finally found what they both pictured as to where they would begin their next journey.

Then came the selling of their house! It has been far from easy, and the problem isn’t even their house or them, rather a set of circumstances that none of us can control with the economy, the market, and just the world being you know… the world.  So with that being said, clearly our conversation could go a million different places, but we usually just ended the day on sharing funny (and maybe what some would find questionable) memes and conversations to press forward!

Monte and Crystal are my “Clients of the Month” because they have proven that it is not your situation that defines who you are, it is how you frame it and handle it.  These guys have been troopers in this experience, and I still believe we will look back at this journey and laugh about the cat attacks, the antiques we put away,  and things we will just keep to ourselves and close to heart!

Love you Howtons and I am thankful to be your Realtor, but more so your friend!
