I first met Bryan when he was an anesthesiologist. I was there—I think with one of my parents—and he took the time to pray over them before they went back for surgery. Super nice guy, I had heard all kinds of nice things about him and we had been going to church with he and Samantha for a long time.
I ended up connecting with them and getting to know them better and watched them go through the grief of their two little boys with such incredible inner strength and depth that was a huge inspiration to so many in our community. They asked me to sing, “Blessed Be The Name” at the funeral service.
Fast forward a little bit and I was helping build out the soul care curriculum and program at Southern Hills. Samantha signed up for it, and I got to know her some through that. She leads Bible studies for ladies and she is very involved pouring into the parents at church. Then later both she and Bryan were in a class with me, and I absolutely saw and loved the depth in which they love the Lord. It was very evident. Then Bryan came on as an elder and I got to see him on a whole different level.
They are just first class, God honoring people. They are a huge asset to our community. They have two beautiful blonde headed boys. Once you get to know them, the depth of their faith is crystal clear and bedrock strong. Recently, we worked on a deal that fell through, but we were all bummed but we respected one another and as Bryan told me, “at least we all got to hang out together.” They are just a wonderful, Christian family and great friends. They have referred me to people like themselves and it’s just a joy to work with them and the people they have referred me to.
For these reasons and many more, I would like to honor Bryan and Samantha Kirby as my “Clients of the Month”!
