If you have been around the All Pro Team for any measure of time, you will always hear one thing for certain, we choose to work by referral. I truly believe this is one of the best ways to do Real Estate. The only way that it can be better is when you get the opportunity to work with those who are friends, but truly consider them to be family.

I’ve known Van and Terri Phillips since I was an early teen. In fact, they played my parents in a vacation bible school skit. I don’t believe any of us would have known that this would be the start of them truly becoming family. I was always really close to their sons through high school and church, but as a college student in 2004, I would experience one of the most loving things I have ever experienced in my life as they took me in. In fact, it was during one of the darkest moments of my life.

I’ll never forget the call, “Chris I know you’re in a tough moment, we love you and we want you to come live with us, we already went and got you a bed.” From there, I not only had a room in their house, but I had a family I could count on while mine lived so far away.

Since then, I don’t believe either of us have looked back and they have always treated me like a son. From getting back onto my feet, to renting me a house, to my college graduation party, to many sweet memories on the front porch swing, getting to be their realtor was not only an honor but an emotional roller coaster. I will always be a better man, due to the values that they have taught me and the love that they have shown me. Now as they transition from a house that Van was born in, and a land that many generations have worked, this was obviously more than a transaction, this was a journey for all of us. And there are not enough words, not enough time, and too many memories to share on why these two are my “Client of the Month”, but I can say this it will be hard to beat, and maybe impossible to have a better time serving anyone else!
